READING THRU THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR…

We will start our reading through the bible by taking a portion of the Old and New Testament each day. You will notice that the books are not necessarily in the order that they are listed in your bibles. I don’t know about you, but I think chronologically and so I have broken the bible down (as best as possible) chronologically. Every two months I will try to give you a little insight as to why I placed a particular book in the order I did.

Psalms & proverbs…
In time, you will notice that Psalms and Proverbs are missing. It is my recommendation that you break the 150 Psalms into five 30 day parts and read them in corresponding months. For example in the first five months read Psalm 1-30 (a Psalm each day) in January, read 31-60 in February, 61-90 in March, 91-120 in April and 121-150 in May. On the sixth month, June, take a break from Psalms and read thru Proverbs 1-31, reading a Proverb each day beginning with Proverbs 1 on day one thru to the end of the month. In the seventh month of July begin reading the Psalms again beginning using the same rotation as you began in January, 1-30, 31-60, etc. In the last month of the year, December, read a Proverb a day. When you have finished the year, not only will you have read through the entire bible, but you will have also read through the Psalms and Proverbs twice.
