CHILDREN'S MINISTRY (CM)
"And [Jesus] is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence."
Colossians 1:18
South Hill Calvary Chapel is dedicated to helping you raise your kids in the love of
Jesus. We take seriously the words of our Lord when He said, "It would be better
for you if a millstone were hung around your neck and you were thrown into the
sea than for you to cause one of these little ones to stumble." Jesus
cherished the children, so we will do the same.
Our motto in the Children's Ministry reflects Colossians 1:18: Jesus first, so the faith of
our children will last. We seek to always bring Jesus to the most important
place. We avoid the use of the word childcare because we want to provide
high quality ministry to these most important members of the family.
The Children's Ministry is designed to support the parents in training up their children in the Lord.
The Bible makes it clear that parents are responsible for teaching and
training their children in the admonition of our Lord Jesus
(Deut 6:6).
Therefore, we are here to support you in all that we do. Please see our

We offer Children's Ministry at each of our main services. During our
Sunday service, we provide a total of six age appropriate classes. On Saturday,
we have 3 classes. Each of
our classes is designed to teach the children the Word of God at their age
level. Children participate in prayer, Bible study, fellowship,
breaking of bread, and worship in a fun filled environment.
During our Wednesday service, we provide Nursery,
Walkers thru 3 year olds, and 4 Years thru 5th Grade. On Wednesday night,
we focus on teaching the children story by story thru the Bible.
In addition to our weekly children's ministry classes, we have monthly
activities which include trips to the zoo, sledding, and similar types of outings.
All Children's Ministers have been screened and have been put through a
background check. Ministers attend training every other month to become
all that the Lord has called us to be. If you are interested in serving
