Confidence in God's Truth

Ezekiel 2:9-3:3
"9 Now when I looked, there was a hand stretched out to me; and behold, a scroll of a book was in it. 10 Then He spread it before me; and there was writing on the inside and on the outside, and written on it were lamentations and mourning and woe. 3:1 Moreover He said to me, "Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel." 2 So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that scroll. 3 And He said to me, "Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you." So I ate, and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness."

When I read this Scripture I have to ask myself, "How on earth could anyone eat lamentations, mourning and woe and then say, '...and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness'. It is then that I realize how marvelous the ways of the Lord are. Psalm 30:11 tells us, You have turned for me my mourning into dancing. When we learn to live in the truths of God, which transcend understanding, we experience tremendous comfort, peace and joy. Walking in faith, we can take great confidence that neither, lamentations, mourning or woe can rob us from the sweetness of the Lord.

Precious Jesus, how good You are to love us and to care for us the way that you do. Thank you for always putting things into perspective. Breathe into us a heavenly perspective in all things. In your name we pray...Amen.

May God bless you this week as you taste the sweetness of Jesus through his word. May you be comforted by Him in every area of your lives.
