Romans 1:20
20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead,
As I was driving to work the other day at around 6:30 a.m., I couldn't help but be in awe of God's presence in nature. There was the most beautiful silhouette of the hills created by the early morning light as a flock of geese were flying in their 'V' formation. As I took a moment to take it all in, while at the same time making sure I kept my eyes on the road, I was drawn to God and His love and goodness towards me. Psalm 27:4 says, To behold the beauty of the Lord. As I drove, I considered how often we fail to 'behold His beauty' when there it is...right before us. How often we are so busy that we miss Him. The word beauty in this verse is translated. 'delightfulness'. Delightfulness describes how I felt that early morning. I knew He was real, I knew that He loved me and I was delighted.
Father, may I find my self delighting in you each and every day. May I see you in all of creation. May I take advantage of the Autumn...that I might know you intimately.
May you forever walk in His ways, delighting in Him as He delights in you (Zephaniah 3:17).
