The Process of Time

1 Samuel 1:20
"So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, "Because I have asked for him from the LORD."

God always works according to His time rather than ours. Hannah prayed that God would give her a son and "in the process of time", God answered her prayer. God had promised a son to Abraham and Sarah and the process of time was twenty years after His promise...at which time Isaac was born. Twenty years is a long time for a promise to come about...but not when God is involved. He exists in a timeless realm desiring to strengthen us through "the process of time". Rather than focus on how much time He is taking we would do well to focus on Him and what He is doing in us today, to prepare us for the promises to come.

Father, may we look to the promises in Scripture to encourage us that your timing is always perfect. Help us to pray with confidence to know that the" process of time" is where spiritual maturity is developed. We want to be more like you. In Jesus name...Amen.

May God reveal Himself to you as you walk in his timing. I pray that you might have the overwhelming sense that you are right where God wants you to be...doing exactly what God wants you to do.
